Youth Intervention Program (Rieslearn)

RiesLearn Academy is a Tutoring & Revision Lessons Organization located at Boulevard, Kyalami Business Park in Midrand, Gauteng province. The fundamental objective of RiesLearn Academy is to provide extra tutoring and revision lessons to learners in Grade 10-12 in Mathematics and Physical Science. Their primary goal is to prepare students for University entry. The idea was born in response to the national outcry following low pass rates in the above subjects in grades 10 -12.

This was to be achieved via the use of our plug and play system which ensures effective interactive learning in a manner and in a way the learners will understand and relate to quicker than they can in a normal classroom situation. In that way we would be teaching them in a way that they would each love to learn, rather than that which we would love to teach them. This in-turn will ensure that they stay captivated, focused and that they enjoy the lesson delivery.

Through Boys & Girls Youth Africa & RiesLearn Academy partnership, we recently undertook a pilot project over a six (6) weeks period, Monday to Friday, 14h30-16h30 at Blue Eagle High School in Cosmo City. The project commenced on the 13th February 2017 and lapsed on the 29th March 2017 whereupon we were able to assess the impact of our intervention, using the MODERN 21st Century interactive learning, thus improving the pass rate of all students who actively participated. we have already noticed increased enthusiasm by the students participate in the lessons, eagerness to learn and improve their scores and aspiration to higher levels is at an all-time high.

We are therefore proud to announce that indeed the outcomes of the project are in-fact marvelous. From the pilot project, we will award six (6) learners who performed very well during our Annual June 15 ”Education for All” celebration, at Cosmo City Multi-Purpose Complex (from 8am till 19h00).

We believe every good work deserves recognition.

”The future depends on ALL of us” and TOGETHER, we can ”Connect the Dots…”
